Preserving history is wonderful and educating the residents and visitors in your community on your history has incredible value. 

Tell the story with some simple signage.  Create a legacy so that everyone will benefit from what you create, to tell the story of your history. What will be here (when we are not) to educate everyone on the history all around them.
